One of the first foreign investors in Argentina, the French champagne house Chandon realized the region’s great potential for sparkling wines after a visit to the region in the 1950s.
As one of the most important sparkling wine labels in the world, their investment attracted floods of other investors and they are credited with creating a boom in foreign interest in the region.
Their winery is an hour south of Mendoza city in the middle of a vineyard district Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, and shows the different methods of sparkling wine production which include both handmade sparkling wines (champenoise) and those made in larger tanks (charmat).
Taste your way throughout the different lines of bubbles in the tasting room, including Blanc de Blanc (white wine from white grapes) and Blanc de Noir (white wine from red grapes) wines.
