This large 80 hectare modern winery is dedicated to making big, busty wines and focuses on old world varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Chardonnay, as well as making Malbec and Torrontes.
Designed like a large French chateau, and located in the middle of the Uco Valley, Andeluna offers great mountain views and vines as far as the eye can see. Tours shows all of the state-of-the-art technology from larger production for their classic wines to microvinification for their premium lines.
As would be expected, the tour ends in the tasting room where you can try all the wines from Andeluna’s classic line, Reserve and their Grand Reserve.
The winery also offers lunch from Monday through Saturday where you can experience a six course menu paired with Andeluna wines including regional dishes such as Pastel de Papas, Steak with chimichurri, and locally grown figs with goat’s cheese and pear sauce.
The kitchen is entirely open for viewing from the dining area, and it is remarkable to see the creativity of these chefs in action. And, as your view in the other direction is an open view of all the vineyards and the Andes, it is a day not to be missed.
