Granja Benedetti

City of Mendoza

Overview

At Benedetti, a Mendoza meat store, there are many options at a great price and with great variety. If you plan on trying on the true Argentine tradition of asado on for size during your stay, it is a great stop.

Many people are a bit overwhelmed when they walk into an Argentine meat store, thinking “What do I buy, and what part of the cow is this? How do I prepare it?” Don’t worry, you will be well-guided through the process by the friendly staff, even if your Spanish is not perfect, and leave with a juicy cut ready to be grilled on a parilla (a traditional Argentine grill).

If you are in a hurry and prefer to keep your prep time to a minimum, you can choose from their pre-packaged selections. This is something no other carniceria (butchery) offers in Mendoza; the ability to walk in and out in less than a minute with pre-cut and/or pre-marinated meat. It’s a great one-stop shop for all of your asado needs.

Benedetti also has cold cuts of all different types of ham, cheeses, wines, olives, and juices, making it a great stop for filling a picnic basket or snacks for your hotel room. For our four legged friends, they also suggest boney treats at the best prices in town.
